My dd (age 8) has some sort of a bug at the moment - started with nausea and headaches, now has a high temperature and tummy ache which comes and goes. I have been giving her Calpol but is there anything else which would help the tumy ache?

If she isnt dairy intolerant sometimes a milk drink like milo can help, also maybe quickeze (not sure if they are available outside nz but basically just a dissolving tablet of antiacid, hot water bottle or a warm bath might also help. Hope she feels better soon.

Don't think going to the gp would be much use - I've heard there is a bug going around so I'm assuming it is that - I'm pretty sure it's not her appendix. Her temperature was a bit high last night though - 104 - but it came down after I gave her calpol and sponged her down.
