I donated a pint of blood today and now 1/3 of my arm is turning a wonderful multitude of colours and so sore I cannot bend my elbow, DP thinks it is hilarious

But you can congratulate yourself for Doing A Good Thing. I am going on Monday for the first time in four years. When we lived in Switzerland they wouldn't have my gorgeous and relatively rare blood. I thought it was because we lived in Thailand for four years. It turned out it was due to me having lived in England and the fact that I would have BSE. There was no question about possibly have I would have it. Luckily Belgium is much more sensible.
