Tender spot on boob - something to worry about?

The left side of my left boob is really tender, like it's bruised, and has been for, hmm, five days? I can't feel any sort of lump or anything there. There's no injury to the area, although my toddler does sometimes hurt me in this area when she's horsing about, just by pushing on them or accidentally digging an elbow in to prop herself up, so I suppose she could have just bruised me and it's invisible?

I did wonder whether it's a possible blocked duct - I weaned several months ago, but there's still a bit of milk there, so could I get a blocked duct at this late stage?

It's extremely unlikely that I'm pregnant, and I'm not pre-menstrual. Would you worry about this or not? It's not painful enough to be a real bother, I'd just hate to be ignoring something that was a sign of Something Really Bad, iyswim.

You could have a blocked duct. Try massaging it gently in the shower for a few days.

If it was me, I'd wait a month to see if it goes down. It might be related to your hormones/period. If it's still there then get it checked out by the docs.

If you feel you can't wait a month then go straight to the docs. You just need some peace of mind. Please don't leave it though.
