Wonder if anyone knows anthing abouty this procedure.

Anyone know if they can actually see what is blocking the tube when they do a laparoscopy? I've been told they can, but lady at hospital says they can't.

Do they, as standard, do anything if they can see what the solution is while you are under for investigation?

Do they suggest taking away the tube there and then if it needs to come out and do they need prior consent to do this?

I have not had this done but a couple of friends have. One of them was found to have a blocked tube and they sorted it out there and then.....

I had the dye test to ascertain whether my fallopian tubes were blocked. One was so I was booked for a laproscopy.

I had day surgery. The surgeon explained that they would have a look to see what the blockage was and, if possible, try to unblock it. He explained that there were several reasons it could be blocked e.g. damaged tube, blocked with mucus, etc.

In my case the blockage was cleared pretty easily and I am now 38 weeks pregnant.

Very best of luck to you.

Congratulations! (I've gone all goose-bumpy!)
