Migraine a fortnight ago - still have an 'after' headache - what should I do?

I had a migraine weeks ago tomorrow - visual blurriness, bit of pain, sick/nausea generally blurgh

Since then I have been pale, a bit listless twith a sort of 'after' headache in the back of my skull pretty much constantly

What can/should I do?

It is so frustrating as co-codamol isn't touching it

Hi Katy

I went to the doctor who has described me with Zotrim, I was getting migraines every two months with your systems lasting up for 5 days.

Since I had pills (3 months) I have had one - apparently it is a little psycological, if you feel one coming along but know you have medicine to stop it in its tracks you stop worrying and it doesn't appear!!!!!

Has worked for me - pills only on perscription and carry them whereever you go.

Thanks Tesrocks - I guess I'm off to the GP

I hoped it was something normal & it would 'just' go away

Sounds like cluster migraine to me. I get the same and always worry about the amount of pills I take. Beta blockers worked for me before I had DD but made me really tired. Hope you get it sorted.

Really? The after headache seems so different.

It feels like pressure (although whether pressing into or out of my brain I'm not sure)

It may not be but I get something pretty similar - migraine and then smaller clusters of bad heads or neuralgia like pressure heads. Doc said it also may have something to do with tensing my neck and shoulders when I have a migraine. Have you tried one of those '4head' sticks behind your ears or back of your neck? A hot wheat microwave bag helps too.
Hope a trip to the doc will help you.

I haven't but I might

It does sound similar - thanks
