Has anyone had experience of supporting a child with mental health problems? Can anyone reccommend a route to quality treatment? Would anyone mind sharing their experiences of accessing mental health for a teenager? Thanks you.

Well, CAMHS [Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services] is usually the statutory provider and is usually accessed via a referral from the GP or school. They have a real range of professionals and forms of treatment, and should be able to signpost you to whatever's most helpful.

Are you asking in relation to your DC? What do he/she need help with?

My DS got help when he was an older teenager we went through the GP. (It took two attempts the first Dr. was not very helpful, second referred him for assessment, then he had therapy, - but he had to wait nearly a year for it).
