Feeling very sick and have a headache

Has anyone else suffered from this recently?

This is the 3rd day of feeling bleugh.

I have a headache that keeps coming on and off, occasional dizziness and I am feeling constantly sick. (not pregnant)

I should really go out today to pick something up from the chemist, but daren't as I feel so sick and don't want to be sick in taxi/chemist/supermarket etc.

DD1 suffered something similar a few days ago, she was sick once and felt rough for a day and then it went.

Has anyone else suffered this?

I had something similar last week, headaches, dizzy, nausea. Wasn't actually sick, but probably because I wasn't eating anything.

It's gone now and I feel fine, have you got some aspirin/paracetamol in that you can take?

I have had a constant headache for three days but no sickness.

Have you physically been sick?

for you

This sounds exactly like my migraines. I've been having them for about 4 yes now - I'm nearly 35. It's usually the nausea first, then sometimes but not always my vision goes funny - I get voids or "creases" in my line of sight, and then 1-2hrs after the nausea starts, the MASSIVE headache. Sometimes feels like my brain is about to burst out of my skull!! The worst one was in March - headache for a whole week. I was a mess.

Make a doctor's appt now - I have buccastem for the nausea (a tiny tablet that goes between gum and top lip and dissolves over the space of an hour or so, meaning that you don't have to swallow something with water that might end up coming back, thus waste of time), Cocodamol 30/500 ( Codeine 30mg and Paracetamol 500mg) for the pain x2 every 4-6 hrs and Zomig (Zolmitryptan -sp? To actually stop the migraine, but you have to take that as soon as you feel any of the symptoms or it won't work). My main problem is that my migraines don't always start the same, but I'm learning to pick up the signals. Fortunately, I don't otherwise get much tummy upset, and my bison is usually fine. I still occasionally get "ordinary" headaches which I treat with 2 paracetamol like everyone else, so at least every headache isn't a migraine!!!

My bison?!?

Sorry, vision!!!

Thank you all for your replies.

I haven't been sick, but feel it constantly. It's not migraine, when I get those my eye twitches violently and its not doing it at present.

I think I have to brave going into town later but don't fancy it

Sounds like migraine to me. Does it get worse if you are somewhere with bright light?

I used to have them every school holiday start for some reaon. Not had them in theast couple of years. I used to take something sounding like "migralieve" or very similar name and it did help a lot although was not taking pain away completely.

Meow75 · 02/08/2010 10:33

Gorionine, was that the pink and yellow tablets?! I could never remember in my migraine haze which were supposed to be first!!

LMB - you don't have to get all your "normal" symptoms for it still to be a migraine. I don't always feel sick, and the first few times, I missed the window for the Zomig, and it lasted far longer than it needed to. Not all migraines are light sensitive - mine never are, and I never go to bed while my head is hurting - too much pain to sleep, so I veg about online as I can't read a book or x-stitch, and when the pain is gone I can't stay awake, and often sleep 12-14hrs straight.

Yes it was the pink and yellow ones and now you mention it I cannot remember wich colour was to be taken first other than it was the one smaller by half in number I think, if that makes any sense.
