luckily he had it the wrong way round, ie he was chewing the bottom, but it had leaked all over his hand and i presume into his mouth. It won't come off when i wash it, must be permanent. Should i call the doc? Could he have ingested anything toxic?

Call NHS Direct and ask them for advice.

i'm waiting for the doctor to call me. I don't know if any went in his mouth or not, i'd hate him to have to got to hospital or something unneccesarily. all because grandpa was 'watching' him.

I wouldn't worry too much about this .. its amazing the things kids eat

but check if you want to

btw if it leaked into his mouth you'd see it there

I think you would see the ink in his mouth if he had eaten any - it would have stained his lips and tongue. Also ink tastes disgusting (inveterate pen sucker as a child) and I bet he would have cried. Hope the doctor puts your mind at rest.

it has stained his hands but not that i can see in his mouth. But its a purple pen and i'm not sure! I'm hoping pens are non toxic nowdays..
