Folded gallbladder, gallstones and IBS - any help please?

I had 2 suspected gallbladder attacks over a month ago. I had pain when breathing in, back pain and pain in stomach and under the rib. I considered going to A&E at the time as I thought I had a problem with my heart or lungs. No severe problems since although I have had some pain in my stomach and below my right rib. I am 5 stone overweight but have recently lost about 2 stone on Slimming World. Had a baby 10 months ago, am on the pill. So, I meet many of the criteria for having gallstones. The GP referred me for a scan. I have just been scanned and informed that I do not have gallstones. I may have had them previously according to the ultrasound tech but they are gone now. What I apparently do have is a "folded" gallbladder. She said that this was very common after pregnancy. I have to see the docs next week to discuss the scans but I am confused. I am still getting pain under my ribcage and the top of my stomach and I am still getting discomfort lasting for ages if I eat anything vaguely fatty. I had a salad and fat free yoghurt for lunch today and still experiencing that discomfort. Has anyone else had this? I am at my wit's end with this and I am fed up of feeling sick. I have had problems with IBS in the past with pain at the top and bottom of my stomach. Most of the pain now is at the top of my stomach. I have realised that I have spent a good part of 4 years just feeling generally sick and under the weather and I need this to change. I thought losing weight would help but it has just exacerbated my symptoms. Please give your words of advice MNers!

Also, another symptom is feeling a bit sweaty and clammy after eating, especially if it's a large meal.

Hello, nine months after having my second child I started to experience severe pains under my ribs the evening of or day after eating fatty food, I couldn't sleep or do anything and at one point did think I was having a heart attack. I had a scan which said I had lots of gall stones. I had my gall bladder removed and everything is fine now. I think that if yours is folded you will also need to have it removed. The difference in quality of life is amazing as the pain stops immediately.

You are not alone. Last week I had exactly the same symptoms as you. The pain that I felt was described by you. All of it. Even the IBS, I have had too. I had an ultrasound today. The technician said that she didn't see stones but my gallbladder looked like folded. I'll talk to the doctor this coming Friday. I'll let you know what they tell me here. I am on USA, Virginia.
It is amazing as I also thought that I was having problems with heart or lungs. The whole thing started in February 3 and the pain would come and go. I got in a very strict diet, no grease at all and I am feeling better.
I am 65 and I am not overweight....I eat a healthy diet ( fish, lentils or other beans, chicken, greens).
I hope you feel better and pls let me know too.
