DH and the night sweats

Hi
My DH has terrible night sweats. He showers before bed each night but wakes up boiling hot and the sheet and pillow case is soaking wet. He's only 30 and is very active and careful with what he eats. We have the window open every night and only a thin duvet, I don't know what to do to help him. We seem to be constantly washing the bedding. Any advice?

Has he always had these, or is it something new ?

Might be worth a trip to the GP

Definitely doctors. Can be many things and some are serious, though unlikely at 30. Should be checked out though.

ok thanks, I'll get him booked in. He says he had it all through childhood but we've been together 7 and a half years and I've only noticed it in the past year. It does seem to be worse since we lost our baby. Does the body sweat more because of stress? It doesn't happen during the day, just at night.

Any other symptoms?

Weight loss, dry cough?

Recent travel abroad?

Defo see GP

Abroad? We dream of that! His weight goes up and down. Not a lot, he's tall and not overweight but he feels really heavy some days. I have IBS and it seems to be like that, very bloated and sluggish some days. He's generally very well (the complete opposite to me).
