Helllllllllllllppppppppppp - Last night we went out for an indian, within an hour my dp was ill, this morning I have woken up being sick, runny tum () and terrible stomach cramps. I'm 7 weeks pregnant, any advice?
(By the way we ate lamd and chicken, should I go to the docs??)

If I were you I would go to the docs just to be on the safe side. I am sure the baby is fine just make sure you drink plenty.
I had food poisoning when I was 10 weeks pregnant while I was in Dominican Republic. I didn't see a doctor and had a routine scan when I got home and the baby was fine. dd is now 4.5 yrs.
Hope you are feeling better soon

Get yourself checked out just in case. Most food poisoning bugs do not directly affect the baby but can make you iller than usual if you are pregnant (depressed immune system). There can sometimes be complications from salmonella food poisoning (raised temp, kidney problems) that ought to be nipped in the bud with antibiotics if that is the bug you have, for example.
And, frankly, the curry house ought to be reported to environmental health as there is clearly a problem there at the moment!
You poor things, hope you are both feeling better soon.

I had food poisoning too in Kenya when pregnant with ds1.Did feel awful for several days but no long term effects.Hope you and dh feel better soon.

no medical advice but hope you feel better soon and definitely report them! I imagine the docs will do tests to check what exactly you have so the earlier you go, the sooner the results will be back too.And put your feet up at home - is dh staying at home today? if so, get him doing all the running around even if he's sick too.

Yup - I also had this when pregnant after some dodgy fish - but all OK thank goodness...

All good advice so far.
When you go to the doc, might be worth taking a stool(!) sample with you, as they'll probably want to check it out, and you'll only have to go back with it later.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Poor you, I had food poisoning recently and it is horrible. You need them to culture your stool to find out what it was before you'll know what the implications are - I'm sure you'll be fine but 7 weeks is quite early and it is better to be sure that it isn't anything too wierd, that you won't need antibiotics etc to get rid of whatever it is, etc. I'd call your surgery, tell them you need a culture and that you are pregnant, drop off your sample b ut don't bother actually seeing the doc until you have the lab results back (after all there isn't much he can do at this stage and it will save you a couple of hours in the surgery waiting room when you'll presumably want to be quietly feeling like hell in bed instead).

And they will prob report the indian to the environmental health as well!
Hope you feel better soon....

oh God you poor thing. I think you should check it out with doctors, better to be safe, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, just massively unpleasent. Ohhh, poor, poor you. Big hugs {{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}

thanks everyone, trouble is I haven't had the car today. I have been asleep (in between the obvious!) until now. My ds (7 months) is being looked after by dp's ex wife, very strange as she hates me but I can't complain, she could have said no.
His sisters will be over the moon when she picks them up from school with him
