argh muscle spasms driving me mad

For about 24 hours, a muscle in the top of my left arm has been twitching. It is incredibly annoying. Is there anything over the counter I can take to make it stop? Would co-codamol do it? Codeine is a muscle relaxant isn't it? It's not tiredness, I had a long lie in this am.
