Is it keyhole surgery? My sister had it and was amazed how straight forward it was although it did tKe a while to recover. Good luck

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2010 19:37

Hopefully it is keyhole but they have told me that they may need to open me up

I am extremely voluptuous and they said keyhole was easier as they have longer instruments specially for fatties

What caused the longer recovery for your sister?

I had my gall bladder removed about five years ago with key hole surgery.

You'll be fine I was up and about the same day, bit sore but nothing that a couple of pain killers couldn't ease.

I was back at work in a week. Good luck

whatifihadneverbothered · 21/07/2010 20:06

btw I am also very voluptuous, and they told me that they may have needed to open me up, but they didn't.

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2010 20:10

Thanks

BTW were you operated on in London's Royal Free ?
