Had an op today, Is Otrivine nasal drops the same as nasal spray - worried it is wrong

Had a operation on my sinuses today, bit sore but other than that ok.

Just been looking at my medication that I was sent home with and slightly concerned that the hospital has given me Otrivine Nasal spray. In the E Mail I received from the consultants secretary she has written Otrivine nasal drops 3 times twice daily.

Does it matter?

I have rang the hospital and they were very vague about the whole thing - at first they told me to do the three puffs, I explained that on the outside of the box 1 puff should last 10 hrs so was concerned about doing 3 puffs twice a day.

I guess I will have to go out and buy the nasal drops which I dont fancy doing, cant drive yet as had a GA, and DH out with children all day! Grr

Plus I had to pay for this Otrivine nasal spray yesterday. I know its not much but its the principal.
