Where's my period gone?

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone has any experience of this that might help me. I'm really confused.
Apart from pregnancy and breastfeeding, I have not missed a period since the age of 10!
I am 44 years old and almost 2 weeks late. I am not pregnant (tested for that) and not 'in the menopause' according to a home kit testing my fsh.

I had a nasty stomach upset last month - could that delay my period? I keep reading about the perimenopause, could it be that even though my fsh is not that high?

Any help or comments gratefully received!

I am 45 and recently went 3 months, followed by 2.5 weeks. No illness either.

I am wondering too about what is going on.

ny perids too have gone haywire and despite bloodtests and ultrasound they still dont know anything. The Dr said altho the bloodtest said I was not menopausal I could still be perimenopausal and basically my hormones have gone mad - she said the actual menopause could start at any point in the next 10 years, but if I fancy having a D+C done that may be enough to fool my body into going straight into menopause now.

Thank you for your replies - it looks like I'm not the only one! I think I will see the doctor just to rule out any other problems.
