Anyone else see this shite on channel 5? Five minutes of silence and this.

I mean, it's different I'll give them that...

I didn’t see it. But at least it was a low budget job!

Zonder · 16/06/2024 22:35

Saw it on BBC on Friday. Just shows how low their budget is, and how few policies they have worth shouting about.

Morechocmorechoc · 16/06/2024 22:44

Their policies kick butt on labour and conservatives so long as you understand them.

What does this mean, exactly?
Which policies? In what way do they 'kick butt'?

Yes Nigel.

KnickerlessParsons · 16/06/2024 23:29

We thought it was brilliant and very effective (not Reform voters).

Better than listening to all the lies drivel you get in a normal PPB.

TheShellBeach · 16/06/2024 23:31

It just demonstrates that they haven't got any policies.

NoDishyRishi · 16/06/2024 23:31

Their policies kick butt on labour and conservatives so long as you're a racist misogynist self-serving grifter.

Corrected that for you @Morechocmorechoc 👍🏻

Didn't take long did it?

No wonder people are fleeing to the right.

@Nigellasstickytoffeepudding I thought it was a bit naff, that 'party political broadcast' by REFORM. Pointless really JMO.

NoDishyRishi · 16/06/2024 23:38

Are you saying Farage is not any of those things I mentioned? @RedYellowPinkGreenPurpleOrangeBlue which ones are not true?

Choux · 16/06/2024 23:45

It's like Brexit - Reform supporters can imagine their policies to be whatever they want them to be.

You missed out transphobic and homophobic.

The Party will not be pleased.

1dayatatime · 17/06/2024 00:11

The one line that made my eyes roll is that Reform propose to fund all the additional spending / tax cuts by "cutting wasteful spending".

"Other Reform policies include offering vouchers to go private if you can't see a GP in three days, scrapping interest on student loans, increasing police numbers, keeping "woke ideologies out of the classroom", abolishing the TV licence fee, reforming the Lords and reducing "wasteful spending"

Mind you Labour isn't much better with proposing funding their additional spending by "growing the economy" so that it's the fastest growing economy in the G7. Good luck with that.

user1471453601 · 17/06/2024 00:12

@RedYellowPinkGreenPurpleOrangeBlue people are fleeing to the right? Well, I know labour has been coloured many many ways during this election, but saying they are to the right of the Tory party , though I accept maybe the lib dems, and the greens can be painted, but that is that is going it a bit.

But we will see come 5/7. I don't trust the polls, I've lived through too many elections to do that. But I'm prepared to bet that the torrys and lib dems will do better than that chancer Farrage

Morechocmorechoc · 19/06/2024 21:41

@Allthegoodnamesarechosen why do you say that? Genuine question because I don't have much political knowledge, I just liked their manifesto approach to tax because it brings more money back into the economy.

Zonder · 20/06/2024 07:36

@Morechocmorechoc they don't realistically have a plan for tax. They are vaguely promising unicorns and pots of gold, safe in the knowledge that they won't be in power and won't have to prove anything. They can then wander off into the sunset shaking their heads and muttering about how good things would have been with them in charge.

Exactly like Brexit really.
