General election 2024

How long are MPs' email addresses still valid?

I have put this about on X/Twitter and have yet to receive any definite response. Does it vary for those who are already standing down and handing over to a new candidate? Or even if that is the case, will the email address be valid just for today, or into next week, or up until the election date?

It does seem odd that for over a month the electorate don't have an MP to contact for various problems.

I thought they’re still your mp until the day they leave/get voted out. So they should still be helping their constituents? Problem is they may be busy campaigning. But their email will still be valid

Oh that’s shit, I knew Parliament was getting dissolved but thought that meant they just weren’t sitting in Parliament. Well I hope they’re not getting paid for the month of June then!

DH works for an MP and the caseworker in the office will still be expected to respond to emails until the election. This is his fifth election with the MP.
