A few years ago I bought a purse in a Cambridge charity shop. It was filled with cuttings and photos, some going back to the 1920s, some of children in 1970's clothing. There were many photos of a lady at various ages... I can only assume that she was the owner of the purse and the children her grandchildren.
I think that perhaps she had passed away and the purse had been handed over by mistake. I've posted on local and genealogical websites over the years and even had an article in the Cambridge press about it but no-one has ever come forward to claim it.
I'd love to reunite it with it's family so if the names Kearney or Kitson ring bells with connections to Cambridge, Alexandria in Scotland or Barclays Rock (in the Isle of Wight??) please let me know.
