Could anyone with a FindMyPast subscription possibly do a quick lookup for me?

I just wanted to get the details for the following burial if possible:

Yorkshire Burials, Leeds St Peter. Elizabeth Midgley, born (c) 1813, buried 1823.

Am currently subscribed to Ancestry and British Newspapers Online so happy to return the favour!

Thank you so much!

I typed in those details, it’s saying ‘no results found’.

Christwosheds · 05/02/2026 11:19

Any other info I can use ?

Christwosheds · 05/02/2026 11:21

I’ve tried ticking the common name variants box, and removing Leeds from the search, but still 0 results showing up.

Strange, its not coming up on FamilySearch or Ancestry either, but is coming up on FindMyPast for me when I search with the following parameters:

Elizabeth Midgley (variations not selected for either name)
Year of Birth 1815 (+/- 2 years)
Year of Death 1828 (+/-10 years)
Location: Yorkshire, England

Parish burials tickbox selected

So should I try again with the parish burials ticked ? Not sure if I ticked that or not.

Christwosheds · 05/02/2026 12:44

Oh and the years are different there.

mateysmum · 05/02/2026 12:56

That entry says:
Elizabeth Midgley
daughter of Thomas and Ann Midgley
Cast or possibly East Lane
buried 1 March 1823
Aged 10 months

There might be 2 different children with the same name. The first one born around 1815 and died, the second one born 1823 and then died.

They called their kids the same names sometimes if they had lost children

Quinnny · 05/02/2026 13:08

Elizabeth Midgley
birth year 1813
age 10M
burial date 01 March 1823
Leeds, St Peter
father’s name Thomas
mother’s name Ann
abode East (?) Lane
archive Borthwick Institute of Archives page 83

aged 10 months doesn’t fit with yob though

Quinnny · 05/02/2026 13:09

@mateysmum beat me to it!

mateysmum · 05/02/2026 13:16

@Quinnny yes the age may be an error for 10 years

Quinnny · 05/02/2026 13:17

That’s my thought too

wanderingtopographer · 05/02/2026 13:23

That's brilliant, thank you so much everyone - it's not the person I'm looking for but that's actually a good thing (I was trying to rule out her death so I could be sure of an ID on the 1841 census). Thank you again!
