I can't find any record of gran's death?

I've searched online. She died in Scotland years ago.
Anyone know how I can get information please?

If you know where and when, then you can apply to the national records office in Scotland for the death certificate.

Are you sure that the name you are searching for was her actual legal name? For example, she might have been known as Betty in the family, but her name was really Marjorie Joan, and that's the name her death was registered under. (There's a lot of that in my family.)

Or, less likely perhaps, but could she have remarried and had a different surname?

I know her full name but not her date of birth or date of death.
There's family left in Scotland so hopefully I can get more information soon.
