Yes - a distant cousin. Thanks to her, we have met another distant cousin, and we have been on a few weekends all together to places with joint ancestor links; she's also come to stay with my mother and we have met up a few times when she and her husband have been visiting. We actually met face to face for the first time at some archives to look at documents, with a photographer from Who Do You Think You Are? magazine! It's been wonderful to meet someone who shares my interest our family history and she and her husband are both lovely people.

I also met a distant cousin. We've exchanged lots of photos of our ancestors that neither of us had seen before.

I had a Zoom call with a second cousin a few months ago. Our grandparents were siblings. There were 11 siblings in total, her grandmother was one of the oldest, my grandfather was one of the youngest. There were about 15 years between them so our grandparents never really knew each other, her grandmother emigrated when she was 18 and my granddad was a toddler. It was very interesting hearing what she had been told about certain family members and seeing how that tallied with what I'd been told.

Not met up IRL but online and saw photos of people I only knew about. My own Grandfather burnt masses of photos so it was wonderful to see these images from Canada.
