I'm puzzled that the census return I've looked at gives a date of 25 April and not June .

I know the dob for most of the entries and the ages recorded(year and month)give the nos of months as if the census were completed in June .

Just seems odd .

And yes ,only bought one entry ,and has a surname transcribed with maiden name which made me think no marriage had taken place but correct on image! And mis transcribed occupations .

It was delayed but they kept the date of April on it. The snapshot is from June.

I can't find the article but it was confirmed on BBC news.

Ah thanks Gobbledegook ,I couldn't understand it !

Shame FMP doesn't have their normal para with details about the census .Or maybe I missed it(quite likely).

Looking at the ages, I think the snapshot is from June. I recall reading about delays, and I guess it would have been an expensive faff to reprint the forms. Chances are most people wouldn’t remember the exact situation in a night months earlier either.
