I have always been keenly interested in the Tudor period, and was astounded by this discovery yesterday!😍

What does this mean, that her great great great grandparent is 18 generations from you?

We share a great x21 grandfather (James Butler 3rd Earl of Ormonde). My family are descended from a daughter of Piers Butler 8th Earl of Ormonde (see lower right hand of attached handy diagram I found). So extremely distant, but was enough to give me a thrill!🥰

This is really cool, OP! I'm really interested in the Tudor period too so I'd find this exciting as well Smile

Wow! That's really cool!

How exciting! Will that make you very distantly related to Josh Widdecombe as well, he had something to do with the Boleyn's on one of the recent Who Do You Think You Are?

I had a distant cousin tell me we might be related to Robert the Bruce but not sure I believe that!
