Shock and toxaemia (?) linked to ..... thrombosis

That’s what I see!

iamme21 · 01/05/2020 12:52

Toxaemia?

Shock and toxemia ? mesenteric thrombosis.

So looks like 'shock and toxaemia leading to mesenteric thrombosis' not pleasant.

Shock and toxaemia due to mesenteric thrombosis.

Translation from Dr Google - "Mesenteric venous thrombosis occurs when a blood clot forms in one or more of the major veins that drain blood from your intestines"

So the person has had a clot in their bowel which has led to a serious infection and toxaemia, or blood poisoning.

We'd probably call that sepsis today.

Thank you!!
(My grandfather's death in 1951. My mum was just a baby and she never knew why he died).
