Previous owners of my home

I'm sure I'm in the wrong thread but don't know where else to ask

I'm wanting to find out a bit more about the person who lived in my property before me - do i have a right to do this
and also if I do - how do I go about it?

the property was a probate sale.

Land Registry perhaps? Census info? Call your council x

You can get a copy of the title register from the Land Registry for £3 even if you don't own the house eservices.landregistry.gov.uk/www/wps/portal
Sometimes they have minimal info, but sometimes they list the previous owners & dates when the house changed hands.
If you and the previous resident were renting then it's more difficult. If you know the name you could check if they left a will which might give you more info about them www.gov.uk/search-will-probate
