Who has the new iphone 4?

And have you been having any of the reported problems?

I want to buy one, but am being put off by the press about it. is it really that bad?

Dh has one and has not had a problem with the antenna at all.

He has however, dropped it down the toilet today so it is currently in a bag of rice in the airing cupboard Not sure this was one of the reported problems though

DP has one and has no problems. Well he'd better not have anyway, coz I have his old one and I don't want to give it back!

One of the reported problems with the old phones was that the external water indicator tabs were turning red under normal usage. However, I still suspect this doesn't cover dropping it in the toilet!

As an aside, I really don't like the new design. It's lost the slinkiness of the 3GS.

I'm waiting for Orange to get them back in stock and then am snapping one up and selling my existing one, which I'll get more for.

I agree, it feels clunkier than my current iPhone.

Still not convinced I should get one, but DH says I would be mad to get a 3GS now.

have one, got it today. it's luscious, i love it. DH has one too , no problems so far. and it is much faster for my games apps

soupdragon, that happened to my phone re the water tabs and also major issues with it failing to charge with several other 3g users i know also had

a friend of mine bought one by accident last week - went into the apple shop to look at a laptop, came out with an iphone4

she's not had any problems and loves it (her first iphone of any kind though so she's only got her clunky ancient mobile to compare it to)

Orange got stock in yesterday, ordered it at 5pm and just got a text to saying it's being delivered at 11.30 this morning. How fab is that?

I have one. It's gorgeous. But not as gorgeous as the iPad I got for my birthday on Sunday.

I have had no issues or problems with the iPhone 4 at all. In fact, my only gripe was that it wiped off all my scores from the Angry Birds I had on my iPod.

Reported problems with iPhone 4...

No signal when holding it like a phone.
Apples fix: buy a case to insulate it or don't hold it like a phone (the new firmware fix does not fix it, it's a design issue BTW).

Weak screens easy to break.
Apple fix: none, just be careful with it.

USB connector catching fire (strange one only 1 case so far).
Apple fix: haven't said anything about it yet.

I have one, I got it on launch day and I love it. Had an iphone previously anyway. No reported probs so far. Bought a lovely case for it from Cath Kidston.

I have one and shall be the first to say I have had signal problems. If I hold it normally like a phone I lose my network completely. Have learnt how to hold it so it doesn't happen and now do it without thinking. I will prob just get a case though.

All the aside tough, I still love it
It's gorgeous and a million times better than my old 3G.

I finally got myself an iPhone on Friday & after much thought I plumped for the 3GS. I just wasn't sold on the 4, didn't like the look of it personally much preferred the 3GS. Plus I thought as the 4 had only just come out there were bound to be problems so thought I'd let other people buy it first & have all the kinks ironed out

Wilts did DH dry his phone out ok?

I do think it isn't quite as sleek as the old one, but love it anyway.
