I should preface this by saying I've never had an Ipod before so have some basic questions.

I'm looking at getting at getting a 32 gig -I pod touch.
what I would like to know is :

Will I be able to easily transfer my windows media library to it?

Will I be able to use it for on demand Tv i-player etc ?

what happens when to battery starts to go - how do I replace it?

Does stuff have to bought using I-tunes ?

Thanks

  1. It depends on where the Windows Media stuff came from. If they're files in a protected WMA format that you bought from somewhere then I think there will be trouble. On the other hand if they're unprotected WMA or MP3 files then dragging them into iTunes should sort it all out.

  2. iPlayer works on the iPod Touch. Other services may not, it depends on which ones you're asking about and how they work.

  3. The battery is replaceable but it's a nightmare, there are shops and people who will offer this service. However it should last a fair while, mine's over 2 years old and it's still going.

  4. You can buy things from other places as long as they're unprotected music files such as MP3s. Amazon and Play both sell in that format.

Thanks BP, that's really helpful.
