HELP, trying to connect a new laptop to wireless network but haven't got the password

Have just got a new laptop (from the home grant scheme if that makes any difference) and we are trying to connect it to my wireless network and can't because the password that we thought was right, isn't.

We are using a netgear wireless router if that helps.

Is there anyway of sorting it out, not knowing the password ??

Could try direct connection using an Ethernet cable. Then going to the routers settings possibly on 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or www.routerlogin.com and then seeing if it will let you do a password reset.

Oh it's ok we have managed to get the password right.
