iTunes help please

I have an ipod nano and want to download an album to it. itunes doesn't have it, so want to use another provider, play.com or similar. do i do it the same way? are the files of the same type? need some help, bit of a thicko where ipods are concerned. thanks

The iPod is pretty flexible in terms of what it can play but what to be aware of is any site selling music protected with DRM or in WMA format.

Both Amazon and Play sell music in unprotected MP3 format so they should be fine.

But the tracks and then find where they are on your computer and drag them into iTunes. Once they're in iTunes you can then get them onto your iPod in the normal way.
