HELP! The summer holidays have begun, it's raining and the Wii is broken!!

Not sure what is wrong with our Wii.

Switches on fine, all connections double and triple checked, batteries all charged in the handsets.

But it just isn't recognising any of the handsets!

Anyone got any idea of what could be wrong or how I can fix it (or get 8yo ds to fix it!!)

Have you got a friend with a wii? You could try your handsets with their wii and their handsets with your wii?

Are they synch properly? Try re-doing them www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/setupWiiRemote.jsp
