Can anyone talk me through messenger using a blackberry?

Apologies if this has been done before - tried to search but can't find anything. Can anyone talk me through this? I've just got one and instructions are useless! Its supposed to be free if using it from abroad and DH overseas at mo and has bb too!

yes - where are you stuck - just need to add a contact, they need to accept your 'add' and off you go, then just type words and send

thanks if you're happy - I've sussed it now - I hadn't put DH's email address in my contacts so it just kept sending him a text even though I was using messenger - aargh! Have managed to get it going now.
