What version?

In 2007/2010, Data -> Get External Data -> From Web

DOH you said in a PDF - that was to get it from a (HTML) web page.

easiest just to copy & paste into excel
give me the url & what you want & i'll do it if you like

A PDF is not so easy, and it depends on the layout of the PDF.

Select the table in the PDF file and copy it. Paste into Excel. It will probably paste as one cell per row. You can try to split it into columns using Data -> Data Tools -> Text to Columns, but this is a bit hit and miss.

It will only do that if it's already a searchable pdf though - if some basic text recognition has happened - if it's a pdf that only sees the table as a picture, it won't do that. Best thing to try first tho.

Brill - will try these. Just dashing out and will report back later.

Thanks all
