Dont know if anyone can help but my AVG anti virus keeps throwing up a box saying threat detected - it states a trojan horse SHeur3.zoc has been detected in C:\Windows\temp_uk66.exe....over and over again no matter how many times i click "remove selected infections or remove all unhealed infections" even if I tick the box that says remove threat as a power user

I really dont understand what any of it means but its happening every 20 or 30 seconds so I ignore it!

PLease help!!

I think the problem might be that as its in your temp files, your browser might be keeping it alive. Try closing your browser next time you get rid of it and see if that works.

You might even need to uninstall your browser, remove the infection then install it again.

Thank you for replying - I will give that a go!

ant3nna - and anyone else who might be able to help - I did as you suggested and tried both my browser and removing and uninstalling my (firefox) browser but to no avail - the message is still flashing up every 30 seconds or so.

Please does anyone have any other suggestion how to remove this? I am really worried what this thing might do

Hmm, might be time to try another anti-virus. Microsoft Security Essentials might be worth a try. Sometimes one anti-virus might be able to get rid of something that another can't or even detect something that another can't.

Thanks ant3nna - I think i may have got rid of it by turning off system restore then searchging the file and deleting then rebooting (does that sound possible - I have no idea about computers just googles removing a trojan and got that!) I will try installing microsfot security essentials now too and see if that detects it - thanks so much for helping me out

No problem, hope its fixed. I had something like it a while ago and it took my ages to get rid of.

I think if the message didn't pop up on restart and hasn't since then you have probably successfully removed it.
