Help! How do I get rid of this desktop background please?

DD has used a MacDonalds Fairies CD in our laptop and now we have this sickly desktop background - how do I get rid of it please? I've taken out the disc and deleted the file that is on the desktop but it's still there staring at me and making me feel a little queasy. Help....please?

re you on a Pc? what version do you have (windows xp, vista?)
right click in the desktop background to get to properties and change the picture to a default one in there.

We're on Vista. When I r-click it doesn't offer properties as an option. Is there another way please?

Control Panel> Personalisation> Desktop background
