Emails words are tiny - Can anyone help please

I was just in the middle of emailing and accidentally pressed a button on the bottom left hand side. Now its all tiny letters and I can barely read what I type as well as e mails coming in to me. I hate to type and run but have to leave for work soon.
I am on a laptop, am using windows xp, have a hotmail email. HTH and thanks in advance.

try pressing ctrl and +

Next problem:- How do I reduce it back down now??
