Specific services required?

do you just need a transaction engine or do you need a catalogue service too?

SolidGoldBrass · 07/05/2010 22:51

I've got a Nochex seller account in place, what I need is one of those things where you list the products and the punter can click on what s/he wants, add to cart, proceed to checkout. THe link on the Nochex site for recommended compatible carts isn't working...

Ah well you can buy that sort of stuff off the shelf and just upload it to your web server.....what server do you have, what is your site written in and how many products (about) do you have?

whomovedmychocolate · 08/05/2010 22:14

I've used www.actinic.co.uk/ in the past and found them v good.

SolidGoldBrass · 08/05/2010 22:52

OK, I am not the website builder so I have no idea about what sort of server/what it's written in. I have around 50 products, most of which are small cheap (a pound or so) items. What I don't want is something that's going to cost lots of money in monthly fees whether I sell anything or not.

Okay well what are your products - you could sell them on Amazon for example for a percentage.

Or you could build it yourself. Do you want to CAT me and I'll go see your site and see what you have?

One of my friends uses www.ekmsystems.co.uk/ which apparently is about £20 per month.

But I suspect that might be a bit more expensive then you really want.

It's probably not quite what you want but if you're unable to sell anything right now, you could consider PayPal (which appears also to be capable of stock control too, so you don't sell what you don't have available).

However I've no idea how the fees structure compares with Nochex, as I've not (yet) touched Nochex. Also PayPal is part of Ebay (in case you regard them both as evil!)
