Or some such...is a message that keeps popping up on my windows XP PC.

Seems quite alarming?

IP corruption? Is it saying something about there being another machine sharing your IP address?

When an error pop up appears you should be able to copy it be pressing CTRL-C and then you can paste it in here with CTRL-V, that will help a lot to work out what's going on.
