it works for everyone else on their phones, just not me on mine.

On their phones, or their iPhones? Sadly, I think you (as an iPhone user) are "out of luck".

Apple (in their wisdom) like to have pretty much complete control (for quality assurance purposes!) over what you are allowed to use on their hardware. Pretty sure they consider Macromedia to be "dangerous" (or to say it in technical terms "to expose the system to security issues") so don't allow it.

Harsh on anyone wanting an iPhone or iPad, but their (Apple's) choice over what you can and cannot do. First they restrict what it can do, then they make the unit look good and then they sell it to customers at high prices.

Sorry, I really don't hate Apple, just some of their policies and high prices.

works for me on my iphone, have you gone to the apple site and looked at the iphone guide?

SoupDragon · 04/05/2010 11:29

Mine works using the youtube app thing that came with the phone.

jooseyfruit · 04/05/2010 11:30

i have it on my iPod touch and it works just fine

4andnotout · 04/05/2010 11:39

Mine works on my iPhone, can you access it using the YouTube app already installed?

MitchyInge · 04/05/2010 11:42

You need wifi, not just 3G for YouTube

MitchyInge · 04/05/2010 11:43

What is networkguy talking about?

BadgersPaws · 04/05/2010 11:55

The YouTube app should work just fine over a 3G connection, you shouldn't need to be on a WIFI hotspot to use it.

Network guy is saying that Apple have blocked Flash from working in the web browser on the iPhone. YouTube uses Flash to play video so the web site won't work.

Network guy isn't pleased about that.

Personally I prefer a restricted but reliable and secure platform that will just work over one that can run anything but might be somewhat flakey.

And I consider myself a very technical person, but I can't be bothered to be battling phones.
