Hi,

I have Vista Business 32 bit, is it worth upgrading to 7?

I initially had difficulties getting on with Vista from XP but am sort of used to it now.

Advice welcome.

7 is meant to generally be better than Vista. Vista was rushed and has/had all sorts of problems with how it worked inside. 7 is really Vista fixed and rebranded so that MS can get away from the debacle of Vista.

Is it worth upgrading?

Probably not to be honest, unless you're having huge problems with Vista I doubt that you'll get a lot out of going up to 7.

We've got Win7 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you upgrade. There are some similarities to Vista (the file system seems to be very similar) but the interface is much more intuitive and it is so zippy.

We had zero problems with the upgrade/installation (we've new installed 1 on an ex-XP computer and upgraded a Vista machine), everything self detected, although I think DH did make sure all the hardware and drivers were up to date fist. Generally the Vista driver will work if you can't find a Win7 driver. I guess most drivers will be available now but we got a very early edition and some drivers weren't published yet.

I skipped Vista (DH didn't) and neither of us have had any difficulties adapting.
