I kind of lost my ability to laugh at powerpoint related cockups after I read Edward Tufte's persuasive account of the role of powerpoint in the Challenger accident.

challenger was back in january 86. i know, i remember the news report on the telly. yes, i am old enough. they didnt have powerpoint back then. did they?

Oops... Tufte blames Challenger on crap presentation; and then in a separate book lambasts Powerpoint for enabling the presentation of reams of crap.
