Why can't I do the --cross through-- thingy?

Are you putting the double lines with each word?

You need to do each word individually though -

strike out doesn't work

no spaces - unless each word is enclosed by --

I'm on Macbook and mine works

It needs to be on each separate word, so cross through (i.e. cross through but without the extra spaces) works but cross through doesn't
