anyone got their orange iphone unlocked?

dh bought me a payg iphone as a chirstmas present, with the intention that I could unlock it and use for the rest of my virgin mobile contract.

I asked orange for the unlock as soon as possible ( after 3 months) and after 3 weeks I am still waiting. Whenever I call the call centre they tell me something different but the most plausible thing they have told m is that they are waiting for a code of some sort from apple

I'm just interested, has anyone done this sucessfully? Their customer service has made me never want to buy anything from them ever again...

Don't talk to me about unlocking! I bought a phone from Tesco not realsiing I'd need to get it unlocked. I had to pay £25 and assumed I'd get the code straight away but it took 3 weeks of constant phoning - sorry not much help as not an iPhone and not Orange - but I share you pain and frustration! When I did eventually get the code I put it in while on the phone to them - took about 5 seconds and unlcoked instantly. Good luck.........

thanks its good to know that its not just orange, I suppose they dont really want to do it. Its irritating that it doesnt seem to take that much on their part, will wait and see
