Is 1Gb RAM enough for a notebook (windows 7)?

Only every bought laptops and desktops and have always looked for 2Gb+

As far as I can see on Dell most 10" notebooks (in the cheap range) come with 1Gb with no option to upgrade. Is this enough. Will be on Windows 7 for small notebooks

i was lead to beleive you needed 2gb ram for windows 7 so just bought the £299 dell 11z from carphonewarehouse as 2gb and was on offer usually £389 but still little like a webbook thingy

this one.

its very sexy and shiney.

Cool looks good. I see it even has a webcam?

For that price I would be tempted to upgrade to a full laptop though - which is an option. I was only looking at netbooks as DDs have their own cash to spend (or they will have after their birthday) so was looking for a cheap and cheerful option...but it does need to be cheerful and not just cheap.
