My boss doesn't use the school e-mail, he uses his Hotmail account, which is fine, but he reads his e-mails from top to bottom, thus reading anything I've sent him in the wrong order and sometimes it matters!!

He often sends me e-mails basically asking what the hell I'm on about, then 5 mins later I get another one apologising for not reading the other ones!

Is there an easy way to switch the order of e-mails from oldest to newest? I don't have a Hotmail account, so I don't know.

No, the latest ones go on the top. Why doesn't he do what everyone else does and read them from bottom to top, in the timed and dated order they appear?

But that will only work if he is computer literat Lenin, as he will have to scroll through all of the old emails (pages) to get to the new ones, and he'll probably just not ever see them.

Your boss is a weirdo! I've had my hotmail account since 1998 and it's always been fine - emails appear newest at the top same as my outlook at work

I have worked with some people who do this - ie reading their emails in reverse order - not sure if they are lazy or impatient or both!

Exactly, he's nearing retirement age and I think he lacks the ability to remember to start at the bottom! (He says that about himself, so I'm not being rude!)

We get an awful lot of e-mails in a day, that get left until last to look at, so he would have to scroll through a lot to get to the bottom and by then you are usually going blind seeing them!

I'll nip into his office in the morning and see if I can change the order for him.
