Recommendations for Wii games

I have just treated myself (and my DH!) to a Wii - we have the Sports Resort game and nothing else. What games should we buy?

It will not be used for long prolonged periods - more just half an hour here and there, so games need to be fairly accessible [no patience emoticon].

Would really welcome recommendations before spending my hard-earned cash at Amazon!

Not a massive golf fan usually, but I absolutely love Tiger Woods PGA tour - it has almost made me want to take up the sport for real. My brother and dad who are golfers also love it. You can just play a few holes if you want, but it is quite addictive. Ds, 6, and dd,8, also love playing - they have both become golfing experts and now love watching it when they go to grandad's! It has also had a surprising effect on their maths - calculating lengths of holes and numbers of shots etc.

Mario Kart is ace and can be played in short bursts.

I second Mario Kart. And Wii fit is fun

Dcs love Mario Kart, but it makes me feel car sick!!!!

I like Mario Kart - am rubbish at it though.

good choice! don't forget to get it online then you can race people around the world.

You should play the thig for more then half an hour, if you buy games based on a time restraint you will end up with a shelf full of bad mini game collections.

Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Zack and Wiki,
Super smash bros and Little Kings Story are good games with an easy to access save feature but I urge you not to let time limits constrain you and stop you from playing things like Zelda Twilight Princess, Okami and Mario Galaxy.
