Have been e-mailed an application form, it's a PDF in Adobe Acrobat 7, won't let me type onto it - is there any way around this?

Would really appreciate any help. It's an application form and the person who sent it to me is also clueless as to how you actually type onto it. If it has been locked as read only - is there any way around this to let me type directly onto it?

It's possible that you can't type into it, in which case the people who made it deserve a good telling off.

You could also try upgrading Adobe Acrobat Reader. I think the ability to have editable fields was added after 7.

Certainly I had some PDFs that were meant to be editable and an upgrade to Reader 9 got them working just fine.

Bit of a pain, but could you print it, fill it in, scan it & email it back that way?

Thanks both - stupid isn't it!

Floopy - good idea will try it! Badgerspaws will try that first - fingers crossed!

Thanks so much both!
