Heya, hoping for a bit of help please

how do you make the thread links NOT turn red once you have red them on MN?

An easy way would be to clear your browser history, it's that that's determines if a link has been followed or not.

Depending on the browser your using there might be an option to do this as well...

If you're in Firefox, go to Tools-Options & click the content tab. Click on the colours button in the fonts & colours section, and you can choose the colours you want for visited & unvisited links - make them both blue. You will then need to take the tick out of the box that says 'Allow pages to choose their own colours'

However, this does have some slightly unexpected effects, one of which is to show table gridlines around the different elements on the Active Convos page - it looks most odd!

I think you can also do it by changing the version of MN you use - just off to check

Actually, having looked, the only option which seems to offer visited & unvisited links as being the same colour (blue) is New, which is odd as that's what I'm on and mine definitely change colour.

It's actually quite fun changing colours - I did try purple writing on a pink background, which looks distinctly Netmums, but I currently have a rather fetching brown and primrose scheme....

I had no idea you could change your MN version, how do you fin out which one youre on and how do you change it?

Go to Customise, just below where it says Mumsnet Talk near the top of the page & it shows the options.
