autoplay on windows vista home premium

can any one help? got a new camera set up a new user account for me for my ipod so decided to put my photos on here as well. when i put my memory card in the sd slot the autoplay dialogue box does not come up yet on every other user account on the computer it does can anyone please tell me how to get autoplay to come on

Go to Start-Control Panel-AutoPlay and put a tick in 'Use AutoPlay for all media and devices'

Is your new account an administrator one? As you need to be an administrator to change some settings.
Are you using XP, Vista or Windows 7?

Actually you ought to be able to change the settings as any user in Vista.

This forum has a few suggestions as to why this happens and what to do, but you may find them a bit complicated (sorry, don't know your expertise level) If you're not confident, I wouldn't suggest doing the registry fix yourself.
