iPhone messaging advice

Having just got an iPhone (and very impressed so far ... however I do not have a good track record!) I want to send all my pals a text with my new number on.
Is there a shortcut?
Coyuld it be done on Outlook?

That's an annoying thing about it - I can't find away to text send a group text without going into each contact and adding it. Very frustrating as I'm going through a whole load of stuff ATM and I update all my friends via text.

Although you do have to add each person to a text separately, at least once you've done so, as long as you don't delete the message, it will remain as a 'conversation' so next time you need to send a message to the same group you can just go back to the conversation & send a new message, you won't have to add them individually again. Doesn't help with the initial problem of course....

Good to know, not that I have ever needed to do such a thing.
