Can a hotmail to hotmail email get 'lost'?

Just wondering. would it come back as undelivered?

It's very possible for email that's routed via the internet to go missing.

However hotmail might keep it's mail internal and off of the internet, off the top of my head I don't know.

That said there were rumours of hotmail being very bad at loosing emails with attachments.

Not much help I know...
